SEI team’s achievement won the First Prize of Technological Invention in the China Computer Federation (CCF) Awards Ceremony

On December 17, the award ceremony of the China Computer Federation (CCF) was grandly held at the China Computer Conference CNCC2021 in Shenzhen. The jointly completed project “Application of key technologies and tools for software formal modeling and automated testing in industrial field” won the First Prize of the CCF Science and Technology Award for Technical Invention in 2021. Professor He Jifeng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the founding dean of Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of ECNU, serves as the project leader. The rest members includes not only SEI’s backbone teachers, Prof. Pu Geguang, Prof. Miao Weikai, Prof. Su Ting, but also elites from from CASCO Signal Co., Ltd. and the Fifth Institute of Electronics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). CCF Chairman Professor Mei Hong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor Jin Hai, Vice Chairman of CCF, presented the award to the team representatives.

The research team has received comprehensive support from SEI and ECNU. After years of dedicated research and exploration, Academician He Jifeng, as the first prize winner of the project, led the backbone teachers of the college to cooperate with relevant enterprises and achieved breakthroughs in the core issues in the whole life cycle of software development. The achievements have served more than 10 important national projects including Chang'E 5 and Beijing Metro Line 3.

The “CCF Science and Technology Award” is awarded to outstanding achievements in the field of computer science, technology or engineering that have made important discoveries, inventions and original innovations or have a certain international impact in the relevant field.
