On July 17, 2017, the opening ceremony of the International Summer School "Security Technology of Industrial Control Software" was successfully held in the Science Building of East China Normal University. The opening ceremony was hosted by prof. Min Zhang. Prof. Jifeng HE and prof. Geguang Pu from the School, ms. Lingxi Chen from University Graudate School, and three foreign experts from France attended the event.

Prof. HE, dean of the School, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. He welcomed the experts and students who participated in the summer school, and hoped that the students could gain from the week's study.

Professor Patrice Quinton from Rennes, France, also gave a short speech. He hoped that ENS de Rennes could maintain a closer and unified relationship with East China Normal University through the international summer schools and the platform of the MOE International Joint Lab of Trustworthy Software.

The first International Summer School of Trustworthy Software was established in 2005 by Prof. HE, and 13 summer schools have been hosted ever since. During the years, State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and the Graduate School of East China Normal University have provided great support to the hostings of the summer schools. With the summer school this year, it will last for five days, providing courses for 120 participants from all over the country.
