报告摘要:
Among nonlinear partial differential equations (PDE) there is an exceptional class of integrable equations, which can be studied with the same completeness as linear PDEs, at least in principle. They possess a rich set of exact solutions and many hidden properties. Classification of integrable equations of a given family of nonlinear PDEs is an important topic in the field of soliton theory. There are many approaches to this problem, among which the symmetry approach has proved to be very efficient and powerful. In this talk, I'll give a brief account of recent development of the symmetry approach. The progress has been achieved mainly due to a symbolic representation of the ring of differential polynomials, which enables us to use results from algebraic geometry and number theory.

Jingping Wang,博士毕业于荷兰鹿特丹大学,现为英国肯特大学教授、博士生导师,主要从事可积系统理论的研究工作。

报告摘要:
In this talk first we will consider a family of N × N matrices depending linearly on a spectral parameter λ and having a particular Z_N graded structure. Then these matrices will be employed in the construction of Lax pairs which lead to integrable systems of difference equations and differential-difference equations, with the latter playing the role of symmetries of the former. Moreover our construction naturally leads to Yang-Baxter maps which may be viewed as symmetry reductions of the difference equations. Finally for some of the presented systems we will discuss integrability properties and their relations to some new hierarchies of integrable systems.

Pavlos Xenitidis,博士毕业于希腊Patras大学,2015年至2018年任英国肯特大学讲师 ,现为英国利物浦大学副教授。Xenitidis博士主要从事离散可积系统的相关研究,在《Proceedings of the Royal Society A》、《Nonlinearity》以及《Journal of Physics A》等期刊上发表论文多篇,曾获2009年度英国剑桥大学Newton Institute Fellowship。
